Keeping Kids Creative
Dear Readers,
We have all heard the buzzwords of the knowledge-based economy - creative, innovative, resourceful. We are told that our students will need these abilities, not just facts and figures, to thrive in the workplace of the future. And we,their teachers, need to equip them through creative teaching. Hence, here I try to unravel the nuts and bolts behind these ideas, to find out what creative teaching is all about and how it can be implemented in the classroom.

Story Telling Competition District Level 2010
The competition for district level competition was held in Sekolah Model Khas Baling and it was fun watching all the contestants presenting their prepared stories and delivering their impromptu stories.Good command of the English Language really proved the road to success and glory. Congratulations to all the winners and to my girl - Syahirah Shukey as well. Good Job done, dear!
Characters Quilts
An extended project of literature lessons on Tidy Your Room, Tanya! One of the ideas created during CLIPS course in ELTC, Kuala Lumpur. This idea came out after a long discussion with my good friend cum partner , Aini Aishah Fatimah Leong Abdullah for our 'back-in-school' project. After presenting our 'so-called' project to the audience of the floor, we decided to enhance the idea to make sure the students get the benefit while carrying out the project and after completing the project.
They actually enjoyed the sessions on completing the extended project and asked for more. And I get the satisfaction on reviewing the students' talents and group-working. That blended everything !!
Book Cover Drawing Competition
These are some of the drawing done by the students for the Book Cover Drawing Competition. The objective for this mini project is to make sure the students know about particulars which is a must on a book cover. They have to know the title of the book which they want to draw, the author , the illustrator and some synopsis of the book. The idea is to instill the love for reading and to be friend with books.
