Dear Readers,

We have all heard the buzzwords of the knowledge-based economy - creative, innovative, resourceful.We are told that our students will need these abilities, not just facts and figures, to thrive in the workplace of the future. And we,their teachers, need to equip them through creative teaching. Hence, here I try to unravel the nuts and bolts behind these ideas, to find out what creative teaching is all about and how it can be implemented in the classroom.

1. Ice-Breaking and Get-To-Know- Each Other
Session.
2. Teacher Learning Communities:
a. Developing ground rules through discussion.
b. Discussing the TLC and how it can work
towards professional sharing and professional
learning through PSS using the mind map
strategy.
c. Creating a tag line on the TLC
d. TLC Job list (Empowerment)
3. Presenting creative ways of teaching CCL .
a. Incorporating language arts into CCL
b. Using a CCL text to carry out transmediative
activities.
c. Issues and concerns about the teaching of
CCL using projects.
4. Viewing portfolios provided by TF
a. Discussing issues and concerns about
portfolios.
b. Discussing ways to make portfolios creative and interesting.
c. Reflecting on critical incidents or anecdotes that TF’s experienced in the duration of preparing the portfolios. Eg journal, pupil’s reflections.
d. Getting the members to start work on their journals based on the first TLC.
